Both yesterday and today I focused on making my portions smaller. I didn't take away half of my regular portion or anything, but did make sure I took note to how much I was dishing/ordering up. Instead of two sushi rolls, I went with one and soup. I also packed already portioned items into my lunch, like a 100 calorie yogurt and a cheese stick. So far, in the past week, I've had less cravings and been okay with the smaller portions. Along with cutting portion sizing comes calorie loss... and I've noted that I'm taking in a significantly less amount. This is unhealthy during weight loss, so I'm struggling to find that balance of good calories and portion sizing.
1) I said 'no' to coffee at starbucks and purchased a naked juice.
2) I said 'no' to a pastry at starbucks.
3) I said 'no' to a vending machine snack.
4) I said 'no' to skipping out on the gym at lunch.
5) I said 'no' to seconds at a pot luck dinner.
