Day 4 - The sights and smells of walking

It seemed like it was going to rain this morning, so I decided to walk to work, rather than bike. Normally, I'll walk the three blocks to the bus stop and then ride down Nicollet Mall for 10 blocks. Today, I didn't time it right, missed the bus and so I decided to just walk to work. I thought it would be a good idea to walk and get a little exercise in the morning, but this was a more difficult task than I thought it would be.

I passed a Caribou Coffee shop and saw many people holding their coffee cups, walking next to me. Four blocks later, I passed a Starbucks just a couple of blocks down and then a Panara bread shop with people leaving... I could smell the food and the fresh popcorn another block down... and suddenly, I noticed the bus rolling up to the stop light and I decided to spend the $0.50 to have it take me away. There are so many temptations out there and it took a lot for me to say 'no'.

1) I said 'no' to three temptations of food/bev this morning on the Mall.
2) I said 'no' to ordering lunch in and ate what I had brought.
3) I said 'no' to grabbing a snack from the vending machine.
4) I said 'no' to ordering fried food from the appetizer menu at happy hour.
5) I said 'no' to another alcoholic drink when the bartender asked.
6) I said 'no' to going out in the evening and stayed in to watch a movie.
