Day 2 - Doing Laundry Is New StairMaster

I always put off doing laundry. Why? Because it's a pain... literally. This morning, I realized that I have put it off too long and it was time. It seems like I have been doing laundry more so in the morning lately because that's when I have to pick out something to wear to work. I live in an old Brownstone just on the edge of the city and the laundry facility is four floors down, in the basement. That means, I have to haul two loads down four fights of stairs to wash, run back up and then down again to move the clothes to the dryer and then down to bring them back up when they're dry.

This morning, I choose to look at it from a different perspective. As I was running up the stairs and reached the floor where I lived, I was out of breath. Running up and down four flights three times in one morning is a workout! That's awesome! I'm sure I got my heart rate up to 155 beats per minute three times over the span of one hour. On top of that, I'm running around my apartment trying to get ready at the same time. Cool.

Here's the 'no' list for today:
1) I said 'no' to sleeping in and got up to do laundry.
2) I said 'no' to driving and biked into work.
3) I said 'no' to buying lunch and brought a healthy one myself.
4) I said 'no' 100 times during my 1 hr workout when I wanted to quit.
5) I said 'no' to hamburger meat and made turkey instead.
6) I said 'no' to cheetos.
